Please note that the tampon, that is essential to many women in France and all over the world, has not been greatly improved for several years now... V-Veil is reversing the trend and offers a significant improvement in feminine hygiene in terms of efficiency, design, and comfort. HISTORY OF THE FEMININE HYGIENE Nowadays, during their menstrual period, women can choose between two products, the tampons and the panty liners, that are offered in various lines depending on the needs and morphology of women. THE TAMPON The tampon is an intra-vaginal protection that absorbs the blood and that keeps it inside without expelling it to the outside. Tampons come in various sizes (mini, normal, super, super plus) to match any type of flow. Considered some women's "best friend", it offers several benefits in terms of design and usage: it is discreet, practical, and painless to use. However, women have different habits and needs, and also there aren't two bodies that react in the same manner. In fact, tampons are not suited for all women... Women who do not use tampons during their menses choose not to do so or need to do so because of discomfort, pain, or irritation due to repeated use. THE PANTY LINER Unlike the tampon, the panty liner is an extra-vaginal protection that stores the blood outside of the vagina thanks to its absorbent properties. Like its cousin, the tampon, the panty liner comes in various sizes to meet the different morphology and flows of women: mini, normal, night, ultra-absorbent, etc. For those women who cannot tolerate having a foreign body inside them, or for those who suffer from vaginal irritation, the panty liner is certainly the best product to use during the menstrual periods. However, just like the tampon, there are also some irritation risks. Some women have a certain sensitivity and do not tolerate the allergens that some panty liners may contain, such as adhesive or perfume. Moreover, the panty liner coming into contact with the shaved vaginal vulva can also cause some irritations. The tampons and panty liners, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, seem to meet women's needs. Times not covered... However, there are times when, during their menstrual periods, women may wish to be able to use a different product: the day before their periods and on the last day of their periods. THE MOMENT ALL WOMEN UNANIMOUSLY AGREE ON Between tampons, that seem to properly play their role during the menses, in particular during relatively high intensity flows, and the panty liners, that can sometimes bother women due to the discomfort they cause, the choice is not always obvious. In fact, on the day before their menses, women often experience some physiological losses or low intensity blood flows. In this case, the tampon (even a mini-sized one) does not seem appropriate since it unfortunately seems to stick to the vaginal wall that is not lubricated enough. "Imagine if you were to stick a sheet of paper on your lips, and then, after a few seconds, or even minutes, you remove the paper, this will obviously tear your lips." What we have here is a similar phenomenon, which has a high contact surface, in an area that is more private. THE PANTY LINER THEREFORE SEEMS TO BE THE BEST SOLUTION... In fact, during low intensity flow periods, basically the panty liner seems to offer less disadvantages than the tampon. However, it is still far from meeting all the needs and expectations of women... If the panty liner undoubtedly meets its first function, to protect women's underwear, it has the adverse effect that many women hate: the wet effect. Very fashionable for hair, less desirable in the underwear! Let's compare them a bit (to make it clear for everyone) in a basic but intelligible way... Between the tampon that sticks to the vaginal wall and the panty liner that reminds us all of our childhood nightmares, what can we choose? " ... Remember, when we were little, we have all applied, even against our will, a suppository... " This is when some oily excess would suddenly (and inevitably!) appear near our private parts. Now do you understand? This sensation of discomfort, of being dirty and wet, and the need to deal with it. But never again! |
